Huadian Power International Corporation Limited ('the Company') is one of the largest IPPs in China. From the listed in 1999, the installed capacity of the Company consistently grew through the acquisition and greenfield construction, the average annual growth rate is more than approximately 20%. By June 30 2008, the total installed capacity controlled and invested by the Company had amounted to 22,335.2 MW, and the total interested installed capacity amounted to 16,649.4MW.

The Company was incorporated in Jinan, Shandong Province, PRC. On June 28th, 1994 and is primarily engaged in the construction and operation of power plants and other businesses related to power generation. The Company was jointly promoted by Shandong Electricity Power (Group) Corporation('SEPCO'), Shandong International Trust and Investment Corporation('SITIC'), China Power Trust and Investment Company Ltd., Shandong Luneng Development Group Co. Ltd. and Zaozhuang City Infrastructure Investment Company. The total share capital of the Company, at that time, was RMB 3,825.056million Yuan.

After approval by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of PRC., the Company is a Sino-foreign investment joint stock company limited by shares incorporated in PRC.

H shares and A shares of the Company were listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Shanghai Stock Exchange in June 1999 and February 2005, respectively. Currently, there is a share capital of 6.021billion shares, of which 1.431billion shares were circulating H shares, representing 23.77% of the Company's total issued share capital. A shares are 76.23% of the Company's total issued share capital, with a total of 4.59 billion shares.

Vision and Mission: pursuing the harmonious unification of the shareholders' value, the society responsibility and the staff interest, providing the safe, clean, reliable and low cost electricity for the society.

Operating Model: The Company develops, constructs, acquires, manages and operates the large-scale power plants in way of controlling or occupying completely in China. The generated electricity by the Company will be supplied to the customers through the power grids in various cities and regions.

The development strategies of the Company include:

Regional development strategy: strengthens the businesses in Shandong Province with a view of expanding to other regions in China and international markets, appropriately centralized its operations geographically, and integrate its short-term development with its long-term development.

Industry development strategy: focus on the development of thermal power generating units with large capacity, efficiency and of environment conservation in nature; expand to develop the business of heat and electricity co-generation and hydro power projects appropriately; place emphasis on acquiring new source of energy and cautiously invest in high-tech new energy power projects.

Development implementation strategy: carry out acquisition as well as construction of new plants with emphasis on economic benefits and scale.
